A few good quotes

There is an awesome thread going on over on Beginner Triathlete. I’d link it here, but you have to be a member to see that page. If you are a member, check out the thread called “What’s your favorite quote?” in the My Cup of Joe section. If you’re not a member, you should really think about it. It’s got sections for EVERYTHING, and a wonderful, supportive community to go along with it.
Anyway, I was impressed with a few that I wasn’t very familiar with. Here are some of my favorites so far:
“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” – T.S. Eliot
“Don’t confuse motion with progress.”
“People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them.” -George Bernard Shaw
“Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they’ve got a second.” -William James
“Some people follow their dreams, others hunt them down and beat them mercilessly into submission.” – Neil Kendall
“The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.” -Ayn Rand
